It fills you like sweet homemade jam,
it spills butterflies and bubbles into your stomach,
gurgling up your throat,
making you want to sing with joy.
It tugs you like gravity to the other person,
pulling the strings at the corners of your mouth,
up to the sun above.
You ache when you're apart,
like they lock away a piece of your heart,
keeping it for you in their pocket.
Like you're two halves of a whole,
you yearn to be together all of the time.
The way he looks at you makes the world spin,
makes your heart sing and threaten to fly out of your throat,
and float upward,
towards the sky,
and to worlds above that will never,
understand a love so great.
